Beautiful, Affordable Bridal Gowns
You deserve to feel beautiful on your wedding day! Although TV shows like TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress” often show brides spending $5,000 or more on a gown, you can breathe a sigh of relief because affordable wedding dresses do exist.
Whether you’re a modern bride or lean towards a more vintage style, you’ll find a design that fits your style in our collection of dresses that are a bit more budget-friendly.
Wedding Dresses $1,000 and Under
A budget-conscious bride doesn’t need to give up style. Moonlight Bridal, a prestigious name in the bridal industry for over 30 years, has four designer collections, two of which include many wedding dresses under $1,000.
The Moonlight Tango and Moonlight Modest collections both consist of many options that fit into this price range. These gowns are beautifully designed and still include intricate details such as beaded appliques, lace detail, sequins, and more.
If you’re looking for a mermaid gown that features a modern silhouette, a flowing dress that’s boho-chic, or an A-line dress with sequin beading, we’ve got you covered. Here are a few of our favorite options that are $1,000 and under.
Flowing crepe gown with flutter sleeves
Soft crepe back satin dress featuring a bateau neckline and cap sleeves
Boho style chiffon dress with an A-line silhouette
A-line bridal gown with a deep V-neckline and illusion back
Elegant satin gown with detachable puff sleeves
Full A-line gown featuring a sweetheart neckline and soft satin fabric

Lightweight chiffon dress with swag sleeves and a sweep train
Stunning mermaid gown with deep V-neck and V-back
What Makes These High-Quality Designs Less Expensive?
Chiffon, lace appliques, Mikado and tulle are a few of the beautiful and airy fabrics we use that don’t break the bank (higher-cost accents such as re-embroidered lace appliques, longer trains, and hand beaded details are featured in our Moonlight Collection and Couture lines).
This does not mean we sacrifice quality. Each wedding gown in our Tango line and Modest line is given the same design and construction attention as our higher-end lines. The result? Beautiful and affordable wedding dresses that fit a range of wedding styles: informal, formal, modest, romantic, rustic, Boho or retro.
Other Ways to Save Money on Wedding Planning
There’s no need to go into debt when planning your special day. Here are a few other ideas of ways to help stay within your wedding planning budget.
Venue - Wedding site fees can be expensive. If you can consider a small guest list, many gorgeous venues might offer a great “elopement package” deal. Courthouses, hotels, restaurants and wineries, for example. They may include or offer add-ons such as an officiant, photographer, and more. Public beaches and parks are also breathtaking locations for a simple ceremony. Check the city’s website for permit fees and restrictions.
Food & Drinks - Perhaps a restaurant-catered reception is right for you. They’ll even take care of food delivery and set-up. Italian, Greek, Mexican or BBQ restaurants are a few delicious and oftentimes more affordable options. Keep in mind, sometimes a backyard wedding isn’t cheap because you’ll need to rent tables, chairs, utensils, and possibly restrooms. Look into those costs if you are considering. If possible, providing your own alcohol at your reception can offer significant savings.
Invitations & Decor - Many wedding guests throw out invitations. If your budget is tight, printable DIY wedding invitations or online Save-The-Dates and RSVPs could bring down costs. Wedding decorations can also be pricey. Consider skipping the ceremony site and focus on decorating the reception site. If the reception is held at a nice restaurant, you may only need a few flower centerpieces or candles. Check out Pinterest DIY wedding decor for other inexpensive ideas.
As a couple, talk about what’s most important to you. Prioritize those. You don’t need a big budget to create an affordable, yet romantic wedding day--just a little research and creativity!
