Real Brides: Lizzie

My husband, Josh, and I met during our freshman year of college, but we didn't start dating until the beginning of sophomore year, after summer break. I wasn’t looking for a relationship at the time and convinced myself we would only be friends. Little did I know, he would soon become my best friend and the love of my life! 

All the women in my family, so far, have found their wedding dresses at a bridal shop in Colorado. Funny enough, I went dress shopping with my sister, who was engaged at the time, and I saw this dress in the window. I thought, "Wow, I want to try that on when I get engaged." Two weeks later, my husband popped the question! This dress gave me instant goosebumps when I put it on, and I immediately knew it was something special!
