Real Brides: Elizabeth

Bathed in sunshine and surrounded by crisp white blooms, this beautiful outdoor wedding was the perfect blend of modern sophistication and heartfelt romance. The bride wore a stunning satin A-line wedding dress with a sleek square neckline, subtle side cutouts, and a dramatic full skirt that moved effortlessly throughout the day. Every detail felt fresh, elegant, and timeless, creating a celebration that was both stylish and deeply personal. From the joyful walk to the ceremony to the intimate moments shared with loved ones, the day was filled with unforgettable memories and pure happiness.

The Love Story

My husband and I met through mutual family friends who believed we had a lot in common and would be a great match. We decided to meet for coffee at a local café, not entirely sure whether it was an official date, but we immediately connected and quickly hit it off. After that first conversation, we both knew there was something special between us.

The following week, we went on our first official date and played mini golf. We laughed, had a wonderful time together, and from that point on, we were inseparable. What began as a simple coffee date grew into a beautiful relationship and ultimately led us to the day we said “I do.”

While our wedding day was a dream come true, it was only the beginning of our journey together. We look forward to a lifetime of love, laughter, adventure, and unwavering support as we continue building a happy and fulfilling life with one another. We are excited to create a family of our own and watch our love grow through each new chapter, extending beyond just the two of us. Every day, we are grateful for the chance encounter that brought us together and for the future we are fortunate to share with one another as husband and wife.

Elizabeth's Wedding Dress Shopping Story

Going into dress shopping, I had a clear vision of what I wanted. I had saved inspiration from Pinterest and several dresses from Thistle Rose's Instagram page, including a post featuring Moonlight Bridal gowns. Six of the dresses featured in that post were among the gowns I ended up trying on, including the dress that would ultimately become my wedding gown. I knew I was looking for something classic, elegant, and timeless - no lace, no frills, just beautiful, clean satin.

The dress I ultimately chose was the very first dress I tried on, and it was a Moonlight Bridal gown. The moment I saw myself in it, I fell in love. From then on, every other dress had a lot to live up to. In total, I tried on eight dresses, but none of them came close to the first one. I loved everything about it: the clean, sophisticated front, the stunning open back, and of course the dramatic train and bow. It was everything I had envisioned and more.

I originally wanted a simple, plain veil to complement the gown. However, Meg, the owner of Thistle Rose, encouraged me to try on a new veil they had just received. To my surprise, it paired beautifully with the dress, enhancing its elegance without taking away from its timeless design.

In the end, I could not have imagined a more perfect look. My Moonlight Bridal gown felt uniquely "me" timeless, elegant, and effortlessly beautiful. Looking back, it feels fitting that the gown I chose was one I had been drawn to from the very beginning. From the moment I put it on, I knew I had found the one.
