Real Brides: Tara
Noah and Tara first met in 2015 during their freshman year of college. Tara often visited her friend Marykate at Drexel University, where she got to know Noah. After graduating from NYU in 2019, Tara moved to Philadelphia and lived with Marykate and friends—though it wasn’t until Noah moved to Baltimore for a co-op that he and Tara truly connected. They stayed in touch, bonded over caring for Noah’s dog Reiley, and soon began traveling between cities to see each other.
Over four years, they shared countless adventures: hiking, backpacking, caring for Reiley, and moving from Philadelphia to Baltimore to Lancaster. They even celebrated a life-changing moment as Noah became one of the first people cured of hemophilia.
On June 24, 2023, during a Myrtle Beach vacation, Noah proposed with a perfect sunset surprise. Now, they live in there "happily ever after"!
Tara went wedding dress shopping with just her mom and grandmother, two very special people in her life. At Blush Bridal, she tried on 10 dresses before ultimately finding the one. At the start of her appointment, she told the Blush Bridal team that she was envisioning a flowy, A-line gown with princess-inspired, off-the-shoulder bubble sleeves—something ethereal and straight out of a fairy tale.
They tried on several dresses with off-the-shoulder sleeves, but none felt quite right. Earlier in the session, she had tried on one of the dresses and loved it—the silhouette, the delicate lace embroidery, and the corseted back stood out to her—but it had small lace straps instead of the sleeves she had imagined. Her bridal consultant suggested she try it on again, this time with a pair of separate sleeves and the original straps tucked away.
When she stepped out from behind the curtain, both her mom and grandmother immediately agreed it was "the one." While every dress she tried on was beautiful in its own way, this one truly felt like "her" and made her look and feel like a bride. She was thrilled that they could customize the gown to fit her vision and create the dress of her dreams!
