Real Brides: Lily

My husband and I met when we were 20 years old at a small town night club believe it or not. It was Halloween and he was dressed as a golfer, dancing on a platform like a robot (alone) I thought it was hilarious and joined him. We quickly became friends first and spent a lot of time together. Fast forward to April 2013, we finally had the talk. We both cared for each other and realized we weren’t just friends anymore. In September 2018 he proposed with the most incredible ring on the most amazing Amalfi coast balcony. We got married on Aug. 31,2019 in BC, Canada. Shopping for dresses was so much fun for me, I could have kept going but no dress made me feel more beautiful than this one. My bridesmaids were helping me navigate each store, and they knew I wanted a high neckline. My friend Lauren happened to find this dress and brought it to show me. It fit exactly what I was looking for. The moment I tried it on I really was in awe. It was so elegant, yet the low back really added a modern feel for me. I didn’t buy the dress right away, because I was having a backyard wedding and I thought it was too formal. When I decided to try the dress on again another day that’s when it really hit me. I couldn’t see myself wearing anything else and unexpectedly starting crying. We all shared tears of happiness and it was very special to have them all there.
