Real Brides: Heather

Peter contacted me on Match.com in February of 2016. I was just getting ready to cancel my account after little success but he caught my eye! He was cute, successful, my age, he surfed and seemed well rounded and sent me a cute message that said "I think we have chemistry on paper, want to see if we have it in person?". Sold! It didn't take much convincing - we had similar interests, both had dogs that we adored, were family oriented and loved to travel. He is smart, genuine, thoughtful, creative, funny, good looking - the whole package! We dated for 2 years and then he popped the question in one of our favorite places - Maui in August of last year. Two days later while still in Maui we booked the most beautiful wedding venue (Olowalu Plantation House) for February of the following year. We had our dream wedding surrounded by our family and friends with good food and drinks, a photo booth, fire dancer, ukulele player, games and we danced for hours in the most beautiful setting. It was a blast! I had always dreamed of getting married in Hawaii and never thought it would happen. I was shocked when I learned Peter and my family thought this was the perfect place as well. I knew it was meant to be. I found my dress at Mon Amie Bridal and the detail was stunning! It was everything I had been looking for and more - lace, fitted, long train, low back and it really had that wow factor. When I put it on you could see it on everyone's faces. The detail with the cascading lace combined with the nude look on top is just incredible - it's so beautiful, romantic and unique. I was in love!! I'm sad that I only get to wear it one time. There should be a holiday where once a year everyone wears their dresses!
