Real Brides: Kendra

Photography by True Expressions. Mark and I actually met in elementary school and he says his first memory of me was watching me practice gymnastics at recess! We went to college together and dated for about seven years, when he very sweetly proposed under Christmas lights on NYE 2015 during a trip to Nashville, TN. When I started dress shopping, I wasn't entirely sure what I was looking for, but I definitely knew what I DIDN'T want. The consultant at Sophia's Bridal in Indy, Lauren, was amazing and so patient. After a few rounds of dresses, she brought one back and said "You may really not like this one, but I just felt like I needed to go out on a limb and pull it for you to try on." And it ended up being perfect! I'm not sure I would have picked the dress off the rack, but we instantly knew it was the one when I put it on...it brought tears all around :) Once the dress was altered and fitted it felt just that more amazing, as if it was made just for me! I wish I could find a reason to put it on again more often.
