Some of the best wedding moments aren't the ones on the timeline—they're the quiet ones that happen in between. A walk hand in hand through the venue, a sweet exchange with the flower girl, a tight hug from the bridesmaids, or stealing a kiss before heading back to the celebration. This wedding was filled with those little moments. The bride chose a timeless strapless A-line gown with delicate lace that moved beautifully with every step, paired with a long veil that completed the effortlessly romantic look. Soft blush florals and bridesmaid dresses kept the day feeling light and classic, while the outdoor portraits captured the joy and excitement of two people beginning their next chapter together. Looking through these photos, it's easy to see that the most unforgettable part of the day wasn't just how beautiful everything looked—it was how deeply it was felt.
The Love Story
Jake and I met on a cold January night at an Italian restaurant called Neroli. We connected immediately as we shared our faith, stories of our travels, and lots of laughter. You know you’ve met someone special when the date lasts four hours, the entire restaurant has cleared out, and the owner is asking you to wrap it up so that they can close.
The next day, a second date was already in the works. Jake was thoughtfully planning a mystery date for the following weekend, sending me just one clue each day. He had planned a date at the Muse Paint Bar, and again we were there until closing time.
Soon enough, we were inseparable. Hanging out every weekend and making an hour drive multiple times a week just to see one another.
Fast forward through time, and Jake and I have had the most exciting year of our lives. Road trips, flights, Survivor nights, and countless weddings have filled our year with many joyful memories. One of the most exciting memories of all was the purchase of our first home!
The proposal was a dream come true. It was the most beautiful October day on the New England coast, surrounded by family and friends. I couldn't have been more surprised, and Jake's attention to detail made it incredibly special.
Reflecting on this past year leaves us filled with gratitude for what God has done. We cannot wait to begin our lives together as husband and wife!
Emily's Wedding Dress Shopping Story
I knew my dress was the one even before I went into the store. I had seen the wedding dress on the Thistle Rose website and screenshotted it before going into the shop. I didn't know what kind of dress I was looking for going in, but I knew I wanted one that was strapless, had a sweetheart neckline, a basque waist, and made me feel like a princess. My dress was the third out of ten dresses I tried on. I tried on many beautiful dresses, but the Moonlight Bridal dress was the only one that brought me to tears. I felt so beautiful in it, and it was everything that I wanted in a dress and more. I will treasure my dress and the photos of wearing it forever!
