This beautiful church wedding was a celebration of timeless love and cherished traditions. Surrounded by soaring architecture, glowing candlelight, and ornate details, the couple exchanged vows in an unforgettable ceremony filled with grace and meaning. The bride looked stunning in a long-sleeve floral lace wedding dress with soft illusion details and a sweeping train that added an ethereal touch to every moment. Elegant, romantic, and deeply personal, the day perfectly captured the beauty of a classic wedding surrounded by family, faith, and love.
The Love Story
I met my husband Ciaran at at competitive wine tasting evening at the Carlton Club in St James London. It was a wonderful evening and we bonded over our love of horses and mutual hatred of orange wine. Amazingly our team even won the evening! We swapped numbers as by happenstance I was about to start work at Ciarans company so was keen to secure a new work friend! After one drink on the Tattersall Castle (a pub boat) the following week, Ciaran quickly decided he didn't need any more work friends, but he did want me to be his girlfriend, so he asked me out many many times until I eventually said yes... And the rest is history!
Alice's Wedding Dress Shopping Story
In terms of how I found my dress, I'd been to quite a few shops before and nothing jumped out at me at all, nothing really felt quite like 'me' even though I thought I had a good idea of what I was looking for. That was until I went to Shade Bridal Boutique in Ruddington where the lovely Emma introduced me to the amazing world of Val Stefani and Moonlight Bridal. Everything was just so unique and sparkly and intricate and unlike anything Id seen anywhere else. I took my mum with me and at the beginning of the appointment we pulled out lots of dresses to try, but my mum pulled one which at first I really didn't think I'd like as it was everything I thought I didn't want on paper - it was an off-white pinky colour, it was lacy and it was A-line. However I of course tried it on for her (the first one I tried) and as soon as the corset was done up I just knew it was the one. I felt amazing, confident, thin and the me I saw in the mirror just looked so so happy! I'm an historian and love the Tudor period and fashions and this dress really echoed that time with it's pearl Basque waiste, a-line shilouete, corset back and stunning high-necked bolero jacket. It was so me it was unbelievable. On the wedding day itself when Ciaran first saw me when I reached him at the altar he told me I was his beautiful English Tudor Rose, it couldn't have been more perfect.
