Jordan and I met on Tumblr back in 2014-2015. I was in school and he was on tour in Afghanistan. We were supposed to FaceTime and it didn’t go pass that. Fast forward to 2019 we ran into each other at an art festival and recognized each other. We became friends quickly and spent the summer together. We both are spiritual and our faith is important to us, so I invited him to my church one day. He visited and didn’t stop coming! That’s when I knew he was my person because I asked God to send me someone who loved Him more than they loved me. So, God has always been the center and foundation of what we have going on.
I picked my dress out at Savvy Bride in Charlotte NC. Some of my bridesmaids and friends came with me and when we tried the Moonlight dress on we actually customized it on the spot! We tucked the straps in to imagine it strapless, and made the back more plunging. I ended up getting skinny straps added later, but this was the only dress that had everyone in tears so I knew it was the one.
