Real Brides: Chelsey

My husband and I met by matching on Tinder while in college at Oklahoma State. We had both recently gotten out of long-term relationships and neither of us knew how to talk to other people or even try to date! There were several times we almost met up but something always came up. We finally made concrete plans on May 20, 2015 and met at a bar. I don't think either of us intended to, but we both got waters and sat at a table and talked for hours. There were two guys that even came up to us and asked if we were on a Tinder date...I guess we really were THAT awkward. We weren't ready to part so we went to another bar and kept the conversation going. At the end of the night, Lakely walked me back to my car and shook my hand. I didn't know what to think, did he like me or was he being polite? Two days later we ended up going out for dinner at my favorite restaurant in Stillwater, OK and then he met my cat, Remington and truly fell in love. The rest was history! We dated that summer, both had internships at the same company in Kansas the next summer, and then both got full time jobs at the same company after graduation in 2016/2017. 2. At first I didn't know my dress was the one, I actually put money down on a different dress with short sleeves and a different neckline. I left but wasn't sure if the dress felt like me. The rest of the weekend I kept thinking back to the long-sleeve lace and how much it made me feel like a princess. I talked to my little sister who had come with me to my appointment and we obsessed over the photos between the two dresses. The next day, I ended up calling Dress Gallery in Wichita, KS and asked if I could transfer my deposit to the other one and they said yes! I was so excited. I had always imagined myself getting married in a lacy long sleeve, A-line dress and since my wedding was in January, it made more sense.
